Programmes Director

We finance projects that channel indigenous creativity through books, films, radio programmes and other home-grown educational initiatives. We believe that improving access to knowledge and learning in turn enhances the material and spiritual well-being of the communities our partners serve. Through education we want to help empower ordinary people to fulfill their deepest human potential.
We are seeking a Programmes Director to lead Feed the Minds’ international portfolio, to ensure excellent service to Grant recipients and to ensure programme work meets demonstrable unmet need and that funds are accountably directed.
You must have experience of living and working in a developing country and working in partnership with grass roots civil society organisations, including FBOs, who are addressing the challenges of poverty and/or or conflict. In addition to sharing our passion for education and our ecumenical Christian ethos, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years management experience including a senior management role
- Demonstrable track record in managing multiple projects, partnerships, institutional donor relationships
- Highly developed skills in project design, proposal writing, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting to donors
- Financial management experience including ability to design, monitor and operate within budget.
28 hours a week, possibly rising to 35 after 6-12 months. Based in Pimlico, London but with requirement for overseas travel as necessary.
Competitive Salary package and generous 12% pension.
